One of music’s fastest-rising bands, The Red Clay Strays formed in Mobile, Alabama, in 2016. They released their debut album, "Moment of Truth," in 2022, which featured the breakout single, “Wondering Why,” propelling them into the top 20 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.
In 2024, the group signed to RCA Records and released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, "Made by These Moments". Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, the album is filled with the band’s signature genre-blending sound, as they meld electric rock and roll with southern soul. The record marked the band’s first entry into the Billboard 200 and debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, helping to earn their first Billboard Music Award for “Top Country Group,” and the 2025 ACM Award for “New Duo or Group of the Year.” They also garnered back-to-back CMA Award nominations for “Vocal Group of the Year” in 2024 and 2025, taking home the award at the 59th Annual CMA Awards.
In May 2026, the band won the ACM Award for “Group of the Year” and the “Groundbreaker” Award at Billboard’s Country Power Players event. In June, they released their third studio album, Grateful. Once again produced by Dave Cobb, the album debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. NPR praised it as a “10 out of 10…another one of those no-skip albums,” while Rolling Stone hailed that the band “level up — and power up — on their excellent new album.” With magnetic performances on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "CBS Saturday Morning," and "NPR’s Tiny Desk," the group recently made their Stagecoach debut and headlined Madison Square Garden. They are set to perform two headlining shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena later this year.
