Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Sam Barber captures the experience, uncertainty, wisdom, and promise of coming-of-age on his 2025 EP, “Music for the Soul.” Empathetic songwriting, eloquent instrumentation, and a downright spirit-shaking voice brought him from a farm in Missouri to the doorstep of superstardom. Following the breakout success of his 2024 debut album, “Restless Mind,” the new EP chronicles how he got here and where he’s headed next. Beyond the acclaimed immediate fan favorite “Man of the Year,” the single “Home Tonight” layers his gritty full-bodied vocals above naked acoustic guitar staring down unrepentant loneliness and unrequited love. The title track “Music for the Soul” wrestles with fame, and “Same Sad Shit” addresses anxiety and depression. He wrote on every tune, collaborating with producers Joe Becker and Ryan Hewitt at studios in Nashville, TN, and Bozeman, MT. Prior, Sam delivered the 2x RIAA Platinum certified “Straight and Narrow,” “Better Year,” and “Indigo (Feat. Avery Anna),” gathering more than 2 billion streams to date and selling out headline tours across the globe. Now, “Music for the Soul” makes good on its title.
