The “Roots Reggae Music” band Rebelution, formed in Isla Vista, California is bringing radiant energy to Bend this summer for their “GOOD VIBES SUMMER TOUR 2023.”
In 2004 at UC Santa Barbara, the reggae rockers Eric Rachmany (Vocals/Guitar), Rory Carey (Keyboards), Marley D. Williams (Bass), and Wesley Finley (Drums) came together to create feel-good, rhythmic, breezy music with elements of rock and soul. Since entering the reggae music scene in 2007, Rebelution has continued to chart on Billboard hits and acquired a GRAMMY nomination for Best Reggae Album in 2017. Rachmany spoke with Spin Magazine about Rebelution's most recent album “In The Moment '' regarding the exploration of new sounds stating “it kind of comes down to what even is our music? Is it reggae? Is it rock? Maybe it’s both. It’s hard to describe the music, so I feel like we’re kind of in our own little zone here. To say the truth, I’m just kind of riding the wave…We've looked up to the reggae legends for our reggae influence — and even modern reggae artists as well — but we mix it up so much because we just want to make music that feels good to us. We’re not trying to reach a certain demographic or a certain sound because we feel like we need to fit that hole. We’re just making music that we really like.”
Throughout the years, Rebelution has continued to headline sold-out shows and participate in festivals providing a transcendent live music experience at every performance.
